The company, now in its 15th year in business, employs more than 120 people – up from 100 at the beginning of last year. Jaama’s 44-strong team of Software Developers, (believed to be the UK’s largest among its peer group), along with its 26-strong Customer Services Support Team and Documentation Team have moved into the new offices.
Remaining on the same Tamworth business park where Jaama originated, the resulting departmental reorganisation means that the existing offices accommodate five departments: Sales and Marketing, System Implementation, Project Support, HR and Accounts.
The new 10,000 square foot offices accommodate state-of-the-art training facilities with Jaama hosting courses run by ICFM, the UK’s only independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to furthering the education and advancement of car and light commercial vehicle fleet management.
The facilities will also be utilised for training courses hosted by Jaama for customers that have acquired its Key2 system.
Jaama’s office growth, the third time it has expanded into new premises since its launch in 2004, builds on a record-breaking 2018 with turnover 22% up on the previous 12 months.
Martin Evans, managing director of Jaama, said:
“The company is not only firmly focused on continually enhancing Key2 to ensure it remains industry-leading, but critically it is also vital to continually invest in our facilities.”
Jaama is privately owned and Mr Evans, one of the founders of the business, said:
“To continue the company’s success it is essential that earnings are reinvested whether that be in product development, our employees or our offices.
Many other software providers have other stakeholders to satisfy and that means there may be limited reinvestment. As a business Jaama believes that it is critical to reinvest to underpin further growth and support our existing customer base. The new office development is the latest example of that policy.”
Mr Evans, who is also a director of ICFM, concluded:
“The fleet industry is continually evolving and so is Jaama. A fleet’s chosen software provider must be able to deliver a highly sophisticated, modern, online system, and be fully focused on continuous functionality improvements and providing an excellent customer experience. That remains Jaama’s goal in 2019 and beyond as the business continues to expand.”
